Monday, April 20th, 2009

You’ve seen them before. A weighted golf club. The typical training aid is approximately $100, give or take a few bucks. This can get pretty spendy if you feel you have many issues with your golf swing.

I have an excellent substitute for a power golf swing weight club!

Watch this video and see how you can do a quick and easy golf warm up, you can increase your golf swing speed and power, you can work on your golf swing release, and your tempo all for $30.

Use Tubing Or Bands To Increase Golf Swing Power

Sunday, March 29th, 2009

Replicating your golf swing with resistance (tubing/bands) is one of the fastest ways to improve your golf swing power. We call it “sport-specific” training. All the pro athletes do it. In fact all competitive althletes do, including pro golfers, so you should give it some serious thought.

Golf tubing is fun, effective and very affordable.

Every golfer deals with swing faults. Many of these faults are physically related. It may be a certain phase of your golf swing. This is where tubing comes into play. You can isolate any phase of your golf swing and use resistance like tubing/bands to strengthen and stretch that specific part of your golf swing.

This is very effective at improving golf swing mechanics, power and distance.

Fitness For Golf Swing Training

Sunday, November 2nd, 2008

When you want to improve your golf swing, it’s quite obvious that fitness for golf is one of the MOST effective ways to not only improve your golf swing power and distance, but also your swing consistency, resulting in lower scores every time you go out.

Golf Swing Training can easily be done in your home in just a few minutes a day, but can make a dramatic difference in your golf performance almost instantly.

I don’t want you to think of fitness as going to the gym and banging heads with the “muscle-heads” in there. Far from it! I’m talking about fun exercises and stretches that make an immediate difference in your game.

Training your body to prepare for a better game is the exact same approach athletes take to play their best in the sport they compete in. You NEVER see a player not train their body and expect to play at their best. It just won’t happen!

Golf Swing Fitness Training Produces Power

Wednesday, July 30th, 2008

When a golfer is desperate for power in their golf swing fitness training via dvds, books, ebooks and membership sites should be choice number one.

What is golf swing fitness?

It’s pretty self explanatory! When you implement exercises, streches and drills specific to your golf swing, you will reap the quickest benefits. I call it targeted golf swing training.

Many golfers go to a gym, plop down in a machine and then wonder why their swing doesn’t getting any better, and why aren’t they hitting their drives longer.

First off…the golf swing is done standing, not sitting.

Secondly the golf swing is dynamic and free-flowing, not controlled like machines are.

Thirdly your golf swing muscles should be used as closely to your golf swing mechanics as possible. In fact, picture swinging a weighted golf club. You can’t get any more golf specific than that. Replicating the exact movement, but with resistance.

So if you’re looking to add power to your golf swing, take a serious look at golf specific fitness.
