Every golfer deals with swing faults. Many of these faults are physically related. It may be a certain phase of your golf swing. This is where tubing comes into play. If you’re like most of the golfers playing golf, you want to hit longer drives. Golf specific fitness training is the approach you MUST take if you want up to 30 yards on your drives.

It is IMPOSSIBLE to accomplish this without focusing on golf specific fitness exercises and stretches. The most important thing a senior golfer can do is work on their physical limitations (declining physical abilities). The aging process can be rapid if you don’t stay up with it. Instead of accepting you should be weaker and tighter as you get older, why “buck the system” and fight it all the way?
One of the biggest complaints from senior golfers is lack of driving distance. I’ve played with many senior golfers and most of them are nearly disgusted with their lack of distance off the tee. I’ve asked most of them what they’re doing about it and NONE of them say they are working on their fitness. What! You’ve got to be kidding me!
If you can’t hit a golf ball as long as you want it, don’t you think their might be some physical limitations causing this? HELLO! The first thing you should do is evaluate your CURRENT physical status both strength and flexibility.
Once you figure out your limitations, implement a golf fitness program to improve it. It’s not rocket science, but most senior golfers don’t (and won’t) do it.
Golf Injuries
As we all get older it gets tougher and tougher to avoid aches and pains. For golfers, it’s even tougher. The golf swing puts so much stress on the spine and joints, that if you’re not in decent shape you will inevitably incur pains and/or injuries that will keep you off the course.
The ONLY way to prevent injuries is fitness for golf. Once you start strengthening and stretching your golf swing specific muscles your body will be able to withstand the stress of your golf swing. It’s a “no-brainer”. You’ve got to do this! I can’t see this strong enough. If you don’t…just expect a rapid decline in your performance and physical abilities. Playing golf injured is not fun.

If you can make a FULL backswing with no tension, you store maximum torque in your core area When the torque is unleashed into the ball, you will rocket that ball off your clubface! You will be hitting your shots longer and straighter than you have in years.
So yes…there is such a thing as GOLF FITNESS! There is no denying it anymore. If you want to achieve your FULL potential, you will sooner or later come around to this approach to your golf improvement or you’ll be left in the dust with all your golfing buddies.
